General Description

The chemical compound (1,2,5,6-η4-cyclooctadiene)(2,4-dinitrophenyl)(4-nitrophenyl)platinum(II) is an organometallic complex that contains a platinum atom coordinated with a cyclooctadiene ligand and two phenyl ligands, one nitro-substituted and the other dinitro-substituted. It is commonly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions, particularly in coupling reactions and asymmetric synthesis. (1,2,5,6-η4-cyclooctadiene)(2,4-dinitrophenyl)(4-nitrophenyl)platinum(II) has been studied for its potential application in pharmaceuticals and materials science, due to its unique reactivity and ability to selectively promote certain chemical transformations. Additionally, (1,2,5,6-η4-cyclooctadiene)(2,4-dinitrophenyl)(4-nitrophenyl)platinum(II) has been investigated for its role in homogeneous catalysis and its impact on the development of sustainable chemical processes.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 100229-07-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,0,2,2 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 100229-07:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*0)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*7)=60
60 % 10 = 0
So 100229-07-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Syntheses of 2,4-Dinitro-substituted Bis(phenyl)platinum(II) Compounds

, p. 1845 - 1856 (2007/10/02)

Syntheses of the compounds 4-COD)(aryl)> (7b-e; 4) and cis2(aryl)> (cis-1d-f) are reported.Experiments to synthesize 4-COD> (7a) and cis-2(XC6H4)> (X = 4-CH3O; 4-CH3) (cis-1b, c) with one electron acceptor-substituted and one electron donor-substituted phenyl ring resulted in the spontaneous reductive elimination of the biphenyls 2,4-(O2N)2C6H3-C6H4X-(4) (8a-c).This observation supports the hypothesis of a donor acceptor interaction in the transition state of the reductive biphenyl elimination from cis-1.
