Used in Textile Industry:
ACID YELLOW 54 is used as a dye for wool, polyamide fiber, and wool blended fabrics. It is particularly suitable for dyeing fine, coarse textiles, loose wool, wool tops, wool knitted fabrics, and carpets. The dye exhibits good light fastness (ISO 6-7, AATCC 7), soaping fastness (ISO 3, AATCC 5), perspiration fastness (ISO 4, AATCC 5), oxygen bleaching fastness (ISO 3-4, AATCC 4), and fastness to seawater (ISO 3, AATCC 3).
Used in Leather Industry:
ACID YELLOW 54 is also used in the leather industry for coloring leather products. Its properties, such as good light fastness and resistance to fading and staining, make it a popular choice for this application.
Preparation
2-Amino-4-sulfobenzoic acid?diazo, and 3-Methyl-4-(3-methyl-5-oxo-4,5-dihydropyrazol-1-yl)benzenesulfonic acid coupling, and then under certain pressure, in aqueous solution and formic acid chromium common heating, into chromium complex.
