Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 107648-80-6 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,7,6,4 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 107648-80:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*4)+(3*8)+(2*8)+(1*0)=136
136 % 10 = 6
So 107648-80-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

PROCESS FOR THE DIRECT PREPARATION OF CEFEPIME FOR INJECTABLE USE
-
Page/Page column 9; 10, (2013/08/15)
The present invention concerns a direct process, without the need to isolate any intermediate, for the preparation of Cefepime dihydrochloride monohydrate of sterile quality (for injective use) comprising a preliminary decolorization step in water of the compound of formula (II) in the presence of base or acid, an acylation step with MAEM in the presence of at least one solvent miscible in water, an extraction step in the presence of a solvent immiscible with water, a decolorization step of the rich water solution containing the dissolved product and, lastly, a crystallisation step of the product with acetone in the presence of hydrochloric acid.
