The low volatility,high thermal stability and extended UV absorption of UV-405 provides superior protection to coatings and light sensitive substances which are subjected to extreme processing conditions and light exposure.UV-405(DXSORB 405) has been developed as an interaction-free UVabsorber to be used in amine and/or metal-catalyzed coating systems or in coatings applied on base-coats or substrates containing such catalysts.
