Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 13838-45-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,8,3 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13838-45:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*8)+(4*3)+(3*8)+(2*4)+(1*5)=114
114 % 10 = 4
So 13838-45-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A new class of anion transporter named 'perenosins' consisting of a pyrrole linked through an imine to either an indole, benzimidazole or indazole is reported. The indole containing members of the perenosin family function as effective transmembrane Cl-/NO3- antiporters and HCl cotransporters in a manner similar to the prodigiosenes. The compounds reduce the viability of MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7.
