Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 185906-70-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,5,9,0 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 185906-70:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*5)+(5*9)+(4*0)+(3*6)+(2*7)+(1*0)=171
171 % 10 = 1
So 185906-70-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and characterization of platinum(0) alkene complexes; X-ray crystal structure determinations on [Pt(trans-PhCH=CHCHO)(PPh3)2] and [Pt(trans-PhCH=CHCOMe)(PPh3)2]

Chaloner, Penny A.,Davies, Sian E.,Hitchcock, Peter B.

, p. 765 - 776 (2008/10/09)

Reaction of [Pt(C2H4)(PPh3)2] with a range of alkenes gave the complexes [Pt(alkene)(PPh3)2]. Complexes of alkenes bearing electron-withdrawing ligands were, predictably, more stable than those of electron-rich alkenes. The complexes were characterized by multinuclear (1H, 13C, 31P and 195Pt) NMR spectroscopy and the structures of the derivatives of trans-PhCH=CHCHO and trans-PhCH=CHCOMe were established by X-ray diffraction studies. The complexes reacted with PCy3 to give [Pt(alkene)(PCy3)(PPh3)], usually as a mixture of regioisomers. Copyright
