Ethenyl (E)-but-2-enoate, also known as ethyl vinyl ketone, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H8O2. It is a colorless liquid with a sharp, sweet, and fruity odor, and is commonly used as a flavoring agent in the food industry. Ethenyl (E)-but-2-enoate is also used in the production of pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals.
