Novel Optical Resolution Methods by Inclusion Crystallisation in Suspension Media and by Fractional Distillation
Toda, Fumio,Tohi, Yasushi
, p. 1238 - 1240 (2007/10/02)
Enantioselective inclusion crystallisation of a hydrophobic oily racemic guest and a crystalline optically active host compound is achieved efficiently by stirring a suspension of both components in hexane or water, allowing enantiomers to be separated by fractional distillation.
ENHANCED OPTICAL PURITY OF 3-HYDROXYESTERS OBTAINED BY BAKER'S YEAST REDUCTION OF 3-KETOESTERS
Spiliotis, Vassilis,Papahatjis, Demetris,Ragoussis, Nikitas
, p. 1615 - 1616 (2007/10/02)
Fermenting Baker's yeast, enclosed in a dialysis tube, reduces efficiently 3-ketoesters added to the surrounding subtonic solution, to the corresponding 3-hydroxyesters in good yield (45-55percent) and enhanced optical purity (ee 96-97percent)
A NEW CHIRAL HOST COMPOUND 10,10'-DIHYDROXY-9,9'-BIPHENANTHRYL. OPTICAL RESOLUTION OF PROPIONIC ACID DERIVATIVES, BUTYRIC ACID DERIVATIVES, AND 4-HYDROXYCYCLOPENT-2-EN-1-ONE DERIVATIVES BY COMPLEXATION
Toda, Fumio,Tanaka, Koichi
, p. 1807 - 1810 (2007/10/02)
Optically active 10,10'-dihydroxy-9,9'-biphenanthryl was designed as a new chiral host compound for optical resolution of guest compounds, and was found to be wery effective for resolution of the title guest compounds.
