Palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of Grignard reagents with halobenzoic acids, halophenols and haloanilines
Bumagin, Nikolai A.,Luzikova, Elena V.
, p. 271 - 273 (2007/10/03)
Convenient syntheses of substituted benzoic acids, phenols and anilines have been achieved by using palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions between Grignard reagents and aryl halides containing carboxy, hydroxy and amino groups without a protection-deprotection sequence.
88. The Synthesis and Some Physical Properties of New Laterally Substituted Phenyl Ethers Containing a trans-1,4-Disubstituted Cyclohexane Ring
Kelly, Stephen M.,Schad, Hanspeter
, p. 813 - 817 (2007/10/02)
The synthesis, liquid-crystal transition temperatures, and some physical properties of a variety of substituted phenyl ethers, most of which incorporate a lateral substituent, are reported. Many of the liquid crystals described exhibit nematic phases with
SYNTHESIS AND SOME PROPERTIES OF NEMATIC COMPOUNDS CONTAINING THREE RING SYSTEMS.
Takatsu,Takeuchi,Sato
, p. 311 - 319 (2007/10/02)
Four series of nematic compounds were prepared and their transition temperatures and transition entropies measured. Their flow-aligned viscosities and birefringences were determined by extrapolation. 7 refs.
