To further investigate the structure-activity relationship (SAR) of the 5-hydroxytryptamine type 6 (5-HT6) receptor agonist 5-chloro-2-methyl-3-(1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin-4-yl)-1H-indole (EMD386088, 6), a series of 2-methyl-3-(1,2,3,6-tetrahydr
4-(Indolyl-3)-1-(benzimidazolonylalkyl)-piperidines, a novel group of potential antiallergy compounds
Freter,Fuchs,Barsumian,Oliver
, p. 272 - 276 (2007/10/02)
A group of indolyl-benzimidazolone-piperidines is described and the structure-activity with reference to the passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) in rats is discussed. Compound 7b, 4-(indolyl-3)-1-(benzimidazolonyl-propyl)-piperidine, which has the highest potency in this test, was studied in more detail with regard to antihistaminic and secretory cell stabilization properties.
