Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 87686-86-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,7,6,8 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 87686-86:
(7*8)+(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*6)+(2*8)+(1*6)=200
200 % 10 = 0
So 87686-86-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

ANTHRAQUINONES AND NAPHTHOHYDROQUINONES FROM RUBIA CORDIFOLIA

Itokawa, Hideji,Qiao, Yafang,Takeya, Koichi

, p. 3465 - 3468 (1989)

Four naphthohydroquinones and their glycosides, and 11 anthraquinones and their glycosides were isolated from the dried roots of Rubia cardifolia var. pratensis.Six of them, dihydromollugin, 2-carbomethoxy-3-(3'-hydroxy)isopentyl-1,4-naphthohydroquinone 4-O-β-glucoside, 2-methyl-1,3,6-trihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone 3-O-β-glucoside, 2-methyl-1,3,6-trihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone 3-O-(3'-O-acetyl)-α-rhamnosyl(1 -> 2)-β-glucoside, 2-methyl-1,3,6-trihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone 3-O-(3',6'-diacetyl)-α-rhamnosyl(1 -> 2)-β-glucoside and 2-metyl-1,3,6-trihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone-3-O-(4',6'-O-diacetyl)-α-rhamnosyl(1 -> 2)-β-glucoside, were isolated for the first time from a natural source. The structures were established by various chemical and spectroscopic methods. The chemotaxonomic significance of these findings is discussed briefly.Key Word Index - Rubia cordifolia; Rubiaceae; anthraquinone; anthraquinone glycoside; naphthohydroquinone; naphthohydroquinone glycoside; 13C NMR.

A New Anthraquinone Glycoside from Rubia cordifolia

Varma, Neeraj,Painuly, P.,Sharma, S. C.,Tandon, J. S.

, p. 791 - 792 (2007/10/02)

A new anthraquinone, 1-acetoxy-6-hydroxy-2-methylanthraquinone-3-O-α-rhamnosyl(1->4)-α-glucoside (1) has been isolated from the n-butanolic extract of the roots of Rubia cordifolia (Rubiaceae) and characterized by spectral and chemical analyses.
