The invention provides a preparation method of N - cyanoethyl - N - acetoxyethyl aniline. The preparation method comprises the following steps of 1) carrying out hydroxylation reaction N - cyanoethylaniline with ethylene oxide to obtain hydroxylate N - cyanoethyl - N - hydroxyethyl aniline.
