The present invention provides a trans-, trans-4,4'-disubstituted dicyclohexane compound synthesis method, the present invention employs trans, trans-4-R3-4'-chloroformyl bicyclohexane as the starting material, using a pot method first reacted with olefin compounds, and then reduced to triethylsilane; the resulting product is then crystallized and purified, i.e., trans-4-R3yl-4'-(3-chloro-3-R4yl) propyl bicyclohexane. After that, the chlorine atom is removed by hydrolysis reaction, that is, the trans, trans-4,4'-dihydroped dicyclohexane compound is obtained. The method employed in the present invention avoids a format reaction with greater danger, higher cost of raw materials, or a high risk, a long time of high-pressure hydrogenation reaction; and the process route is short (the 1st and 2nd steps of the reaction can be completed by a one-pot method), there will be no homoisomer by-products of cis cyclohexyl groups, and the yield during crystallization purification is high.

The invention discloses a preparation method of trans-trans dicyclohexyl alkane liquid crystal compounds. According to the preparation method, 1-(4-(4-alkylcyclohexyl)phenyl)alkyl-1-one is used as a raw material; a benzene ring is converted into a cyclohexyl ring by means of a catalytic hydrogenation reaction; transposition is performed under the alkaline condition, so that 1-(4-(4-alkylcyclohexyl)cyclohexyl)alkyl-1-ol is obtained; the trans-trans dicyclohexyl alkane liquid crystal compounds are finally obtained by carrying out an oxidation reaction and a reduction reaction. The preparation method provided by the invention is unique in synthetic route, not only realizes green chemical industry, but also enables the product yield to be greatly increased, improves the product quality, and reduces the cost.
