The Cedar leaf oil, with the CAS registry number 8007-20-3, is also known as Thuja occidentalis oil. Its systematic name is Oils, cedar leaf. What's more, its classification codes are: (1)Natural Product; (2)Skin / Eye Irritant; (3)TSCA UVCB. This chemical should be sealed and stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place. It is mainly used to allocate essences of perfume, soap and cosmetics. It can also be used in food flavor in a small amount. This chemical can be prepared by fresh leaves and twigs of Thuja occidentalis by the steam distillation. The yield is about 0.6-1.0%.
