  • Four Notices of Eating Eggs for the Infants
  • Egg contains a lot of vitamins and minerals which are essential to human body. For example, it is rich in DHA and lecithin, which not only can promote the development of the nervous system and the human body, but also can invigorate the brain and avoid the declining the memory for the elderly people. Although egg is very nutritious and has a lot of health-care effects on human body, they are some notices of eating eggs, especially for the infants. Otherwise, it may bring some side effects on the body.

Firstly, do not take the eggs as a staple food for the infants.
In order to promote the healthy growth of the infants, some mothers almost provide their children eggs every meal, which may make the infants suffer from indigestion and even diarrhea. This is because the digestive function of the infants' gastrointestinal tract is immature, and the secretion of various digestive enzymes is not enough, so eating too many eggs will increase the burden on the infants' stomach and intestines.

Secondly, the infants who are younger than six-month old should not eat egg white.
When the infants have grown to the sixth months, mothers can provide the egg yolk to them. But they should pay attention whether there is skin rash, urticaria, vomiting and other allergic phenomena after the infants eat egg yolk. Because the infants' immune system is relatively very weak, so the allergic reactions may occur after they eat some new type of food. As for the egg white, the infants should not eat until they have turned to one year old. This is because infants and young children are more vulnerable to allergy if they eat egg white.

Thirdly, do not provide the infants with undercooked eggs.
Egg is very susceptible to bacterial contamination, even if it has not been broken. So egg should be fried for 3 minutes or boiled for 7 minutes. Otherwise, it may easily lead to bacterial infection. Because the structure of raw egg is very tight, which makes the protein difficult to be digested and absorbed by the body. Only when the egg is cooked for enough time, the structure of protein can become loose and the protein can be easily digested and absorbed by the body.

Fourthly, the infants with fever should not to eat eggs.
Because egg is a kind of high-calorie food, so after the infants eat eggs, the body will produce additional heat, which is not conducive to the recovery of the infants with fever.
