Jiangsu Overseas Group Co., LTD (JOC) is a state owned trading group authorised by the government of Jiangsu province in 1995. JOC is one of the largest import and export ventures in the region, with registered capital of RMB 500 million and a gross turnover in excess of RMB 10 billion. JOC owns International trade, manufacturing, port storage and other business, handling over $8.4 billion of import and export business in the period 2001-2008 alone. The company is also the largest export venture of pet products in China and owns many leading brands, including the well-known SINOPET product range, whose annual export worth alone is $80 million. In addition to exporting goods including electrical and mechanical equipment, vessels and textiles, JOC Group also imports a number of specialised products including medical equipment and transportation machinery, plus raw materials such as steel, timber and chemicals.
