Properties:

White powder. D 1.32, melting range 129–134C. Soluble in water. Surface coating not soluble in water but soluble in rubber. Slightly soluble in acetone; insoluble in benzene, gasoline, and ethylene dichloride.

Use:

Promoter for azodicarbonamide, a nitrogen blowing agent; activator for thiazoles, sulfenamides, and thiurams; odor reducer when used with nitrosoamine-type blowing agents.
