(antiozidant). A substance used to reverse or prevent the severe oxidizing action of ozone on elastomers both natural and synthetic. Among antiozonant materials used are petroleum waxes, both amorphous and microcrystalline, secondary aromatic amines (such as N,N-diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine), quinoline, and furan derivatives.See Ozone.
