Properties:
White to brownish-yellow crystalline alkaloid. Mp 208C, bp 220C (1–2 mm Hg), sublimes at 180C under reduced pressure. Soluble in fats, fixed oils, absolute alcohol, and ether. Its sulfate and hydrochloride are soluble in water.
Use:
Medicine (respiratory stimulant).
