A composite material consisting of boron carbide crystals in aluminum with a cladding of commercially pure aluminum. Concentration of up to 50% boron carbide can be obtained.

Use:

Reactor shields, neutron curtains, shutters for thermal curtains, safety rods, containers for fissionable material.
