A uniformly dispersed mixture of boron with another metal or metals. Ferroboron usually contains 15–25% boron, manganese boron usually contains 60–65% manganese.

Use:

Degasifying and deoxidizing agents, to harden steel (in trace quantities), to increase conductivity of copper, turbojet engines.
