    An alloy of copper and tin usually containing from 1 to 10% tin. Special types contain from 5 to 10% aluminum (Al bronze), fractional percentages of phosphorus (phosphor bronze) as deoxidizer, or low percentages of silicon (Si bronze).
    Hazard:
    Powder is flammable.
     
    Use:
    Spark-resistant tools, springs, fourdrinier wire, paint, cosmetics (as powder), electrical hardware, vacuum dryers, blenders, water gauges, flow indicators, valves, drain cocks, fine arts.
