Ion Retardation

    Name:
    Ion Retardation
    Detailed information:
A process based on amphoteric (bifunctional) ion-exchange resins containing both anion and cation adsorption sites. These sites will associate with mobile anions and cations in solution and thus remove both kinds of ions from solutions. These ions may be eluted by rinsing with water. Process can make clean separations of ionic-nonionic mixtures. Has also been suggested for demineralization of salt solutions.See Ion.
