    Needlelike crystals. Deliquescent, d 1.119 (18C), mp 128C, decomposes at 270C. More soluble in water than any other inorganic salt (313 g per 100 mL water at 18C); very soluble in alcohol.
     
    Hazard:
    Dangerous explosion hazard when shocked or combined with organic materials. Strong oxidant.
     
    Use:
    Air conditioning, inorganic and organic chemicals, propellants.
