(1) Hydrochloride, C₁₀H₁₄N₂ •HCl; (2) salicylate, C₁₀H₁₄N₂•C₇H₆O₃; (3) sulfate, (C₁₀H₁₄N₂)₂•H₂SO₄ (40% solution = “Black Leaf Forty”); (4) tartrate, C₁₀H₁₄N₂•2C₄O₆H₆•H₂O.

Properties:

(1) Colorless oil; (2) white crystals. Mp 117.4C; (3) white crystals; (4) white plates. Mp 89C. All the salts are soluble in water, alcohol, and ether.

Derivation:

By the action of the respective acid on the alkaloid.
