(1914–2002). An Austrian molecular biologist who was a recipient of the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 1962 along with Kendrew. His work was concerned with crystalline protein structure, particularly the molecular structure of hemoglobin and myoglobin. nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide was educated in England and Austria.
