Properties:
Transparent (90% light transmission), noncorrosive, weather and ozone resistant, nontoxic, stain resistant, Combustible but self-extinguishing, low water absorption, high impact strength, heat resistant, high dielectric strength, dimensionally stable, soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbons and attacked by strong alkalies and aromatic hydrocarbons, stable to mineral acids, insoluble in aliphatic alcohols. Excellent for all molding methods, extrusion, thermoforming, etc.; easily fabricated by all methods including thermoforming and fluidized-bed coating.
Use:
Molded products, solution-cast or extruded film, structural parts, tubes and piping, prosthetic devices, meter face plates, nonbreakable windows, streetlight globes, household appliances.
