Fine, white, amorphous powder or beads; odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in water and in alcohol and other organic solvents; at 80–100C is partially soluble in strong acids and solutions of alkali hydroxides, pH of a 20% slurry is between 6.5 and 10.5. Noncombustible.

Technical, FCC.
Use:
Anticaking agent in food preparations (up to 2%).
