| Derivation: |
| (1) Electrolysis of molten strontium chloride in a graphite crucible with cooling of the upper, cathodic space; (2) thermal reduction of the oxide with metallic aluminum (strontium aluminum alloy formed), and distilling the strontium in a vacuum. |
