Yellow, orange, or bright-orange-red mineral of resinous luster. D 6.7–7.0, Mohs hardness 2.75–3.

Occurrence:

Found in veins with ores of lead in U.S. (Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona), Europe, Australia.

Use:

Ore of molybdenum.
