In summary, we have successfully designed and synthesised
polarity sensitive, 2P active, ICT fluorescent dyes which cover
a wide range of the visible spectrum. Microwave-assisted
Sonogashira cross coupling between structurally important
arylalkyne and bromo partner was utilised as a synthetic tool.
Solvatofluorochromic properties of all dyes were established

for specific targeting of ER and employed for determining the
micropolarity inside it. Micro-polarity inside ER was found
alike with a mixture of chloroform and dichloromethane. We
firmly believe that this study will be highly useful for
understanding the biophysics inside cellular environment.
