demonstrated the usefulness of our reagent for the
deprotonation of synthetically challenge norbornene and the
further reactions with various electrophiles and aryl halides.
By the development of this new lithiation processes, a range
of substituted norbornenes have been prepared. The
development of the practical protocol has paved a path for the
future exploration of more lithiation systems. The further
asymmetric version in the presence of chiral ligand is
currently under investigation.
