Phosphorus pentafluoride Specification

The Phosphorus pentafluoride, with the CAS registry number 7647-19-0 and EINECS registry number 231-602-3, has the systematic name of pentafluoro-λ5-phosphane. And the molecular formula of this chemical is F5P. It is a phosphorus halide with the apperance of  colourless gas, and belongs to the  product category of Inorganic Fluorides. What's more, it is used as catalyst in the polyreaction, and it is also used in the electronics industry.

The physical properties of Phosphorus pentafluoride are as following: (1)#H bond acceptors: 0; (2)#H bond donors: 0; (3)#Freely Rotating Bonds: 0; (4)Polar Surface Area: 0 Å2.

Preparation of Phosphorus pentafluoride: It can be prepared by phosphorus trifluoride and fluorine gas, and it gives the Phosphorus pentafluoride gas. After cooling off, you can get the product:
PF3 + F2 → PF5

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. It is toxic by inhalation, and may cause burns. And if contact with acid, it liberates very toxic gas. Therefore, you had better take the following instructions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool place; Keep container in a well-ventilated place; Wear suitable gloves; In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show label where possible).

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
(1)SMILES: FP(F)(F)(F)F
(2)InChI: InChI=1/F5P/c1-6(2,3,4)5
(3)InChIKey: OBCUTHMOOONNBS-UHFFFAOYAH
