Uses
(S)-AMPA is an analogue for AMPA (A611500) a specific agonist for the AMPA receptor which mimics the glutamate receptor. Active enantiomer of AMPA that induces apoptosis in cortical neurons (S)-AMPA has also been used to activate rostromedial tegmental nucleus (RMTg), to study aversive conditioning in relation with cocaine-induced avoidance behaviors in mice.
