• Description: A further alkaloid found in Vinca minor, this base may be crystallized from nheptane when it yields colourless needles. It is strongly laevorotatory having [α]D - 158° (c 0.87, CHCI3). The ultraviolet spectrum consists of two absorption maxima at 258 and 312 mμ.
