Description
Venturicidin B is a macrolide bacterial metabolite that has been found in Streptomyces.
-
Uses
The macrolide antibiotic Venturicidin B, isolated from a Streptomyces sp., is a potent inhibitor of mitochondrial ATP synthase complex acting on the F0 membrane sector. Venturicidin A was originally isolated as an antifungal agent. Venturicidin B is a potent inhibitor of mitochondrial ATP synthase complex acting on the F0 membrane sector.
