Uses
METHANTHELINE BROMIDE is a strong muscarinic receptor blocking drug used in the treatment of overactive bladder syndrome, hypersalivation and hyperhidrosis. Ulcine is a strong muscarinic receptor blocking drug used in the treatment of overactive bladder syndrome, hypersalivation and hyperhidrosis.

Clinical Use
Methantheline bromide, introduced in 1950, is a potent anticholinergicagent and acts at the nicotinic cholinergic receptors of thesympathetic and parasympathetic systems, as well as at themyoneural junction of the postganglionic cholinergic fibers.Like other quaternary ammonium drugs, methantheline bromideis absorbed incompletely from the GI tract.
