Uses
XGLUC, Sodium Salt is a chromogenic substrate for β-glucuronidase (GUS) gene detection. 5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-beta-D-glucuronide sodium salt is a substrate for -Glucuronidase that is converted by the enzyme into an intense blue prepicitate. It is used for the detection of the Gus gene in bacterial colonies, e.g. Escherichia Coli, or for histochemical applications
