Silica glass Specification

The CAS registry number of Silica, fused is 60676-86-0. Its EINECS registry number is 262-373-8. The IUPAC name is dioxosilane. In addition, the molecular formula is O2Si and the molecular weight is 60.08. It belongs to the classes of Inorganic Chemicals; Inorganics; Chromosorb; Packed GC; Supports.

Preparation of Silica, fused: it can be prepared by silicon tetrachloride, hydrogen and oxygen. The reaction temperature is 1000-1200 °C. The equation is as follows: SiCl4 + H2 + O2 → SiO2 • nH2O + H2O.

Uses of Silica, fused: it is used as masking membrane and the protective cover for the transistor and integrated circuit. Also it can be used as a packing for epoxy molding, optical fiber, coating etc. In addition, it can be used in the manufacture of glass, emission spectrum analysis reagent. Moreover, it can be used in the emulsion, plastic film, leather, coating, adhesive, papermaking, pesticides, cosmetics, wave-ray agents, thickening agents and thixotropic agent.

When you are using this chemical, please be cautious about it as the following:
It is irritating to eyes and skin and harmful by inhalation. It has danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure and may cause cancer. Avoid exposure - obtain special instructions before use. During using it, avoid contact with skin and eyes and do not breathe dust. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. And in case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label whenever possible.).

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
(1)SMILES: O=[Si]=O
(2)InChI: InChI=1S/O2Si/c1-3-2
(3)InChIKey: VYPSYNLAJGMNEJ-UHFFFAOYSA-N
