Sodium cocoyl isethionate Specification

With the CAS registry number 61789-32-0, Fatty acids, coco,2-sulfoethyl esters, sodium salts is also named as Sodium cocoyl isethionate. The other registry numbers are 218433-02-4, 58969-27-0 and 85681-84-1. And the classification code is TSCA UVCB. It is white to off white powder or flake which has good lime soap dispersing ability in hard water and concentrated electrolyte solution. Additionally, this chemical should be stored in a cool and ventilated place.

Preparation: Using coconut oil fatty acid to get sodium coconut oil hydroxyethyl, then mixed with stearic acid to get the product.

Uses of Fatty acids, coco,2-sulfoethyl esters, sodium salts: It is a mild primary surfactant with a dense, luxurious foam, so it can be used as surfactant for cosmetics and toiletries, especially mild shampoos, foam baths, baby products, tooth pastes.
