Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by chloro-triphenyl-silane. This reaction will need reagent LiAlH₄.

Uses of Triphenylsilane: it can be used to produce benzyloxy-triphenyl-silane at ambient temperature. It will need reagent B(C₆F₅)₃ and solvent toluene with reaction time of 20 hours. The yield is about 93%.
