Preparation of Trisiloxane,1,1,1,5,5,5-hexamethyl-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]-: It can be obtained by Hexamethyl-disiloxane. The reaction occurs with reagents Trichlorosilane and H2SO4 and solvent H2O at temperature of 50°C for 0.5 hours. The yield is 75 %.

Trisiloxane,1,1,1,5,5,5-hexamethyl-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]- can be obtained by Hexamethyl-disiloxane

Uses of Trisiloxane,1,1,1,5,5,5-hexamethyl-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]-: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it can react with Allyl-dimethyl-amine to get C14H39NO3Si4. The reaction occurs with catalyst Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane platinum complex for 12 hours. The yield is 80 %.

Trisiloxane,1,1,1,5,5,5-hexamethyl-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]- can react with Allyl-dimethyl-amine to get N,N-2-methyl-3-{3,3,3-trimethyl-1,1-bis[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]disiloxanyl}propane-1-amine
