Preparation and uses of Zinc phosphate tetrahydrate: it can be prepared by ZnSO₄·7H₂O and Na₂HPO₄ by heating to boiling with stirring. Then go through crystallization to get the product. Also it can be obtained from ZnCl₂, phosphoric acid and pyridine. Add ZnCl₂ into the phosphoric acid and pyridine solution. Then heat it for 4 hours. In addition, it is used as corrosion and flame retardancy filling agent for antirust paint, coating, water-soluble alkyd coatings, phenolic coating, epoxy coating, epoxy and phenolic resin adhesive. Also it can be used as flame retardant for chlorinated rubber and synthetic polymer materials.
