Preparation of 1-Methyl-2-phenyl-1, 2-dihydro-pyridazine-3, 6-dione: this chemical is prepared by reaction of Sulfuric acid dimethyl ester with 6-Hydroxy-2-phenyl-2H-pyridazin-3-one. The reaction time is 3 hours with reaction temperature of 140 - 150 °C. The yield is about 100 %.

 The 1-Methyl-2-phenyl-1, 2-dihydro-pyridazine-3, 6-dione can be obtained by Sulfuric acid dimethyl ester and 6-Hydroxy-2-phenyl-2H-pyridazin-3-one.

For example, it is used to produce 2-Methyl-1-phenyl-4-(toluene-4-sulfonylmethyl)-1, 2-dihydro-pyridazine-3, 6-dione. The reaction time is 1.5 hours with reaction temperature of -75 °C.
