Uses of Silane,dichloromethyl-2-propen-1-yl-: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it can react with Buta-1,3-diene to get 1-Allyl-1-methyl-2,5-dihydro-1H-silole. The reaction occurs with reagent Mg and solvent Tetrahydrofuran at ambient temperature for 15 hours. The yield is 50 %.
