Tiamulin (55297-95-5), with chemical name of (1S,2R,3S,4S,6R,7S,14R)-6-[(2-Diethylaminoethylthio)acetoxy]-3-hydroxy-2,4,7,14-tetramethyl-4-vinyltricyclo[5,4,3,01.8]tetradecan-9-one, is white to pale yellow crystalline powder. It is soluble in water, 1:16.6, which is stable in the dry powder, not stable to light and heat.

1) Tiamulin is a relatively new type of antibiotic, which is an animal-specific antibiotic.
2).It has a have special effects on number of Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma (Mycoplasma) ,
3).by far, Tiamulin is the most effective antibiotics against the Mycoplasma gallisepticum on the chicken , maintain high concentrations on respiratory tract on which Mycoplasma breeding.
4).Especially have a strong effect against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, a variety of mycoplasma and some spirochetes .
