Uses
Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate (CAS NO.7320-34-5) can be used for non-cyanide electroplating, dyeing, fine clay, etc., and has been used as analytical reagent, hydrogen peroxide stabilizer and soaps' filler.
Production
potassium hydroxide for the production. First, adding 30% phosphoric acid into devices, with stirring, slowly adding potassium hydroxide solution for the reaction, control of pH value 8.4. Heating the solution after reaction, and add activated carbon for bleaching, then having the filtration to remove insolubles, and evaporation, and then cooling and taking them for crystallization to get dipotassium hydrogen phosphate . Heated it to 120 ~ 130 °C off to the crystal water and put it in the 500 ~ 600 °C high temperature for calcination 2 ~ 3h.
