Production method of this chemical: The 10,12-Octadecadiynoic acid could be obtained by the reactants of 1-bromo-hept-1-yne and undec-10-ynoic acid. This reaction needs the reagents of aq. NaOH, NH2OH*HCl, CuI, and the solvent of methanol. The yield is 87 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 45 minutes.

Uses of this chemical: The octadeca-10,12-diynoyl chloride could be obtained by the reactant of 10,12-Octadecadiynoic acid. This reaction needs the reagent of thionyl chloride, and the solvent of petroleum ether. The yield is 83 %. This reaction should be taken for 3 hours. The other condition is heating.
