Solubility: Peru balsam (CAS NO. 8007-00-9) is soluble in most of the grease,a white haze in mineral oil, . Slightly soluble in propylene glycol, nearly do not dissolve in glycerin.
Uses
GB 2760 - 1996: Peru balsam (CAS NO. 8007-00-9) is allowed the use of food with the spices,and is mainly used for bitter taste materials, such as the preparation of chocolate and tobacco flavors.
Production
Peru balsam (CAS NO. 8007-00-9) is derived from resin of leguminous plants of Peru Balsam tree (Myroxylonpereirae) , with benzene or ethanol extraction or distillation .Yield of 0.7% ~ 1.1%.
