13587-24-1 Usage
General Description
Copper hydrogen phosphate, also known as Copper(II) phosphate, is a chemical compound with the formula Cu2(HPO4)2·3H2O. This blue-green crystalline solid occurs in nature but is mainly produced industrially in labs due to its usage in various applications. It is a phase identified in the patina of the Statue of Liberty. Copper(II) phosphate is insoluble in water but dissolves in mineral acids. It has a low toxicity level for humans, but can be harmful if swallowed or in contact with skin and eyes. In conditions of high temperature, it may decompose and emit toxic fumes of phosphorus oxides and copper. Moreover, it is used for electroplating, in veterinary medicines as a fungicide or to prevent athlete's foot.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 13587-24-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,5,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13587-24:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*2)+(1*4)=111
111 % 10 = 1
So 13587-24-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
